Considering the content of this article, we are perplexed by the actions of the Council's Head of Planning, Mr Joe Jenkinson, in seeking to delay the determination of the Planning Application submitted for the development of Barnsley Local Plan Site Reference HS75 by Barratt & David Wilson Homes and the landowner, Rebecca Jane Scott (a site which was removed from the Green Belt and allocated for residential development by the Council in the Barnsley Local Plan specifically to meet housing needs in Penistone) in order to acquire our Company's unlinked and unrelated Land on the West Side of Laird's Way, Penistone.  Not least as we are aware that the Barratt & David Wilson Homes Development scheme provides for the delivery of 120 affordable homes in Penistone.
